The boys went bowling today. They had LOTS of fun!

Some new friends were made

It's great to see relationships like these forming!

A rainy day in Dublin (a typical Irish summer!) but spirits were still high!

Today we say goodbye to Yokoi Sensei as he heads back home to Japan. We thank him very much for supporting all the boys here in Ireland!

Some of the boys visited St Michan's church which is famous for its crypt and the very old coffins that are kept within it - spooky!

Kitamura Sensei has just landed in Dublin - it is great to have him here in Malahide for the next week. We thank him very much for giving up his time to look after the boys!

The boys spent the day at Dublin Zoo with some of their friends from Spain and Italy.

Origami & Omiyage

Everyone was very interested to learn about Origami...

These Spanish girls were very happy and grateful to receive some gifts from Japan. It is great to see friendships like these blossoming!

The work is challenging and it is great to see the boys making friends along the way and speaking lots of English!

The boys are being very well looked after by their host families

In the morning some boys get a lift into the language school in the car

They have been welcomed into the families with open arms

Everyone has started to make friends with the other students here in Ireland. It is really encouraging to see them practicing their English outside the classroom!

One of the afternoon activities is horse riding...

The boys had to groom the horses and take care of them before riding them.

The horses are very friendly and well trained

On the first day everybody managed to ride their horse - it was all very exciting!

The other groups did sailing and golf.

Some of the boys on their afternoon trip to central Dublin. They visited Dublin Castle, the City Hall, Trinity College Dublin as well as several other famous landmarks.

We are very pleased and grateful to have Mr Yokoi helping to look after the boys during their stay in Ireland! Thank you!

Everyone seemed to be in high spirits for their first day! After a short test the boys were sorted into different classes and headed off to meet their teachers.

The idea behind this blog is that people at home can follow our students as they enjoy life in Ireland. We would be very happy to get comments and messages of encouragement from anywhere, especially from parents and past students.  Please don't be shy!!

All the boys looked very happy as they met their homestay families for the first time. I am sure they have all made an excellent first impression!

The boys have safely arrived in Dublin from their connection in Dubai! I have just come back from the airport where I was very pleased to welcome all of the boys and Mr Yokoi to Ireland. They were all in good spirits and were taken by bus to Malahide where they met their host families! It's a beautiful day in Dublin and the boys seem very excited to be here!
